Introduction to Yagami Ryu Course | Now in English

Shibari Dojo | Yagami Ryu

Our online shibari course is suitable for all levels of knowledge and experience, and offers personalized 1:1 classes tailored to each student.

No prior knowledge or experience is required.

For Those with Previous Experience

If you already have a background or prior training in shibari, this course will allow you to clarify and reinforce concepts and techniques in a structured, organic and methodical progression.

Personal Requirements

It is necessary to participate in tandem, that is, two people, one who ties and one who is tied.

Roles can be switched during the lessons. This approach is essential because our dojo is founded on the principle of equality and mutual reciprocity between both roles in erotic shibari practices.

The price quoted in the registration is per couple.

A formal relationship between the two people is not essential, but mutual trust and interest in working together are required.

Technical Requirements

The main technical requirement is access to a device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) with a stable internet connection capable of supporting video calls. This is for the online sessions.

There is no additional software required as consultations are conducted through our platform and study materials are available in formats compatible with any web browser.

For privacy and stability, we recommend using Firefox.

For consultations, you will need a camera and microphone.

As our teachings focus on both the one who ties and the one being tied, it is necessary to attend the classes together.

This setup facilitates the practice of the proposed exercises, enabling shared learning and collaborative skill application.

Practice Space

No special set-up or equipment is needed for the practice space. Ceiling suspension points are not required

Any room is suitable, as long as it is cleared enough to avoid accidents.

Wooden floors are ideal. Although tatami is the traditional Japanese flooring, it is not technically superior.

If your room has a hard floor such as tiles or concrete, it is recommended to add padding to reduce hardness and prevent slipping.

Required Materials

In the early stages of the course, you do not need to complicate things with ropes. In the first module, ropes will barely be necessary, and only from the third module will they become essential.

Three standard-sized ropes (approximately 7–8 meters) are sufficient to perform all proposed practices and exercises.

Additionally, we also recommend having a short rope (around 2 meters) to facilitate learning and handling.

Clothing

Wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement and standing on the floor. Since most of the practice will take place on the floor, this aspect is important to keep in mind.

Additional Elements

Some exercises may require items such as yoga blocks or weights. In these cases, we will provide accessible alternatives that can easily be found in any home.
