One of the core areas of training we offer at our dojo is the study of techniques that allow us to master and utilize our bodies effectively during shibari.
This aspect of training is undoubtedly the most challenging for our students.
Our primary goal is to develop a deep understanding of human body mechanics. This includes how the body moves, how forces and energy are distributed throughout the body, and how to leverage these elements during a shibari session.

Our approach differs from traditional martial arts in that it requires ongoing, consistent practice to maintain and improve. Instead of rigid routines, we focus on giving students the tools to progress and, most importantly, to identify and correct their own challenges in a way that suits their abilities and real-life circumstances.
After all, there’s little point in prescribing a strict training regimen if you simply don’t have the time for it. It’s already hard enough to find a moment when both partners can come together in private to enjoy shibari.
